The Book Club

Receive books for FREE in exchange for writing book reviews! Starting May 1, 2007, participation in the book club is reserved to members who have 2 points or more each calendar year.

Other issues to keep in mind when reviewing books.

• You must be an active WAUG member with 2 points or more to participate in these FREE book offers.
• You must be able to pick up the book from the Williamsburg meeting location.
• Typically book reviews are 2-3 paragraphs about your opinion of the book. You do not need to be an expert on the subject. Every review counts!
• When you receive the book, you may keep the book for FREE! But please be sure to submit your book review within 30 days! WAUG requests that you order only as many books as you can finish reading -- a book every month is standard.
• Ordering a book without writing a book review may jeopardize our opportunity to receive and review books in the future, as well as violate the terms of a User Group. Please write a book review within the month of receiving it. If, per chance, we never receive a book review from a reviewer, we unfortunately cannot order any more books for that particular reviewer. Please be considerate; our reputation is important to us -- and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to support you!
• When you are finished writing your book review, please submit your review to our website upon completion. Part of the criteria for being a User Group to publishing companies and having the opportunity to receive FREE books is posting your review on their website as well as ours. By submitting your review through the online form, the Book Club manager will be able to be sure the publisher receives the link to your review on the WAUG site. If you have an Amazon or a Barnes and Noble account, please post your review there as well and let us know so that we may pass along the information.
• If you are interested in purchasing books, each publishing company offers WAUG members a generous discount policy for both bulk and individual orders. Author guest-appearances for book signings are also possible. Email bookclub@augva.com for specific details.
